Situated at the mouth of the Arade estuary, Praia da Rocha is the Algarve's best known and longest established resort. It's golden sands and warm crystalline waters have provided year-round tourist appeal since the 1930s. The town's 2 kilometre long beach is one of the most photographed in Europe. The town itself is a vibrant holiday resort with numerous bars, restaurants, night clubs and souvenir shops.

Transfer time to Praia da Rocha from Faro airport is approx. 1 hour 30 minutes.

 

Praia do Vau is a small resort with a lovely sandy beach, a golf course with a limited number of restaurants and bars. The bustling resort of Praia da Rocha with its many restaurants, bars and nightlife is approximately a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive from the fishing village of Praia do Vau.
