Cyprus

Sun holiday in Cyprus Cyprus may be a small country, but it's a large island - the third largest in the Mediterranean. And it's an island with a big heart - an island that gives its visitors a genuine welcome and treats them as friends.

There are so many really memorable things about Cyprus - the pretty architecture, the balmy climate and the myriad of local bars and restaurants. Above all, it's the friendliness of the Cypriots that everyone loves to remember. Like the Irish, these islanders are warm, hospitable and enjoy welcoming new people into their lives. Whether heading for Ayia Napa, Limassol or Paphos, facilities are excellent - from the wide choice of hotels, to the wonderful water-sports, sandy beaches, great restaurants and plentiful leisure facilities, all with excellent accessibility.

English is widely spoken and many road signs are posted in both Greek and English. There's also plenty for culture vultures; discover the nine frescoed Byzantine churches in the Troodos Massif, visit the Tombs of the Kings - an underground necropolis dating back to 3rd Century BC - or cycle through the mountains, taking in the vistas and Cyprus' distinctive flora and fauna. There's also the ancient capital of Lefkosia to discover, and when that all becomes too much, your hotel will be a welcome haven for poolside cocktails and leisurely lounging.

Ayia Napa

Once a quaint fishing village, it is now better known as a tourist haven that attracts both the young and the young at heart!
The resort boasts three long white sandy beaches, the most famous of which is Nissi Beach (see image) and the crystal waters are the resort's big draw when it heats up in the summer months! There is a stunning 16th century Venetian monastery that overlooks the harbour in Ayia Napa town and although this is the backdrop to the resort, once there you will see that Ayia Napa is firmly in the 21st century - bustling restaurants, bars and clubs will ensure there will be something to suit all tastes!

Limassol

The island's second largest city, and the island's main port and a bustling holiday resort. The city fans out between two of the most spectacular archaeological sites in Cyprus, which were built on cliff tops with spectacular views overlooking the magnificent sea!
The ancient kingdoms of Amathous to the east and Kourion to the west. The main hub of activity takes place around the busy 10 mile seafront which is dotted with an abundance of bars, tavernas and excellent shops, including well known retailers such as Marks and Spencers and Zara. Beaches are small with a mixture of sand and shingle. There is a wide variety of cuisine to choose from which include pizzerias, kebab bars and of course the traditional Cypriot meze.
