The United States and Canada are ideal self-drive destinations. Using our expertise, Sunway Holidays can recommend tailor made self-drive itineraries across North America, examples of which can be viewed in our brochure. Sunway are delighted to offer car hire with our partner Dollar Rent a Car.

When you are renting a car, please ensure you have a valid driver’s license. Also most car rental locations require a major credit card in the renter’s name. In Florida you will be required to leave a deposit of $100 (credit card imprint of lead driver).

Please note Dollar can only confirm a particular car group and not a specific make or model.

Included in your Car Rental;

Taxes and Fees except certain fees in Newark, Boston and California

Supplemental Liability Insurance(SLI)- SLI provides the renter or any additional authorized drivers listed in the rental agreement, with automobile liability coverage against third party claims up to $1,000,000

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)- In the case of an accident it covers renter for all damages to rented car to the full value of the vehicle, regardless of fault

Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP) – This is not available for Canada rentals

Unlimited Mileage

Free one ways in Florida, California, Arizona and Nevada

Petrol (unless taking the platinum package)

One way drop off fees if applicable

Additional authorised drivers (unless taking the platinum package)

Under 25 years surcharge: There is a surcharge for drivers between 21 years & 24 years of age from $25 per day plus taxes and fees. No driver under the age of 21 years is allowed to drive

Infant Seats- Infants up to aged 5 must be seated in an infant seat which is available upon request* from $12 per day plus taxes and fees. *Subject to availability

Upgrades: Renters wishing to upgrade their vehicle to another car class may do so for an upgrade charge at time of rental. This can also be arranged prior to departure

Any additional extras not already included in the rental e.g. SAT NAV

Satellite Navigation
Introducing the latest craze in car gadgets….Garmin Street Pilot is your personal in car satellite navigation system. This little device knows exactly where you are at all times and know what’s up ahead too. Key features include pre-loaded maps for North American, multiple text and voice languages, 3D map presentation and clear instructions.
