Puerto Santiago

Located on the hilly west coast of the island, Puerto Santiago is a small fishing village with a selection of bars and restaurants. A charming and laid back resort that still retains a village atmosphere and provides good value for money. The resorts of Los Gigantes (north) and Playa la Arena (south) now virtually merge with Puerto Santiago but each location still exists independently. All three are built into the hillside and separated by small ravines.

Los Gigantes is one of the main harbours for daily boat trips and has a wider selection of bars and restaurants. The dramatic cliffs in the area dominate the skyline and make for some breath taking views of the Atlantic Ocean. The area is surrounded by banana plantations and small volcanic beaches. The beach in Puerto Santiago has the typical black sand of the area.  Puerto Santiago is also well connected to the livelier Los Christianos and Playa De Las Americas with 2 local buses running hourly with a journey time of approximately 1 hour.

Holidays in Puerto Santiago are all about relaxing, sun-bathing and enjoying the local hospitality and cuisine. Clients should note that this resort is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
