Has Sunway been affected by the Coronavirus?
For more than 53 years, Sunway has been offering holidays to Irish Customers, and while the world might feel uncertain right now, you can still book in complete confidence with us.

We have a lot of experience in dealing with situations similar to this, however COVID-19 is unique and changing by the day. We will always follow the latest advice issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs, the World Health Organization and our local partners. Our clients safety and wellbeing is of the utmost importance to us but please rest assured our staff are working very hard to contact all passengers who are travelling in the next few days to assist them with their bookings.

 

I am due to travel in March / April
A huge amount of flights are not operating for March and April to a lot of destinations, but please do not worry.

We will be in contact with all passengers due to travel and we will discuss the options available to you.

We will be offering clients the choice of either changing their departure date or we will offer you a credit for the full value of your holiday. We will only offer refunds for destinations where the guidance from the Department of Foreign Affairs is DO NOT TRAVEL. Please visit the dfa.ie for a list of destinations affected by this security status.

 

I am due to travel from May onwards
Airlines are still operating some schedules for May, however some airlines are are allowing date changes, and you pay the difference in fares and taxes if applicable, but you do not pay any change fees.

Any destinations that are not operating that affects your holiday, we will be in touch with you.

People travelling June / July / August / Sept / October, all holidays are operating as normal.

We are prioritising all rebooking’s based on travel date.

 

I am due to pay the balance of my holiday, but I’m concerned.
We will do our very best to work with you in this regard. On some selected destinations we may be able to delay the balance due date. Please contact our sales team regarding your booking.

 

I want to change my holiday, what do I do?
Depending on when and where you are travelling to, we will assist you where we can.
You are welcome to contact our office during our normal office hours of 9.30am – 5.30pm Mon-Fri, or on Saturday from 10am – 5pm. You may also email Info@sunway.ie and one of our team will get back to you.

 

I want to book a new holiday but I am concerned I will lose my money?
When you buy a package holiday with Sunway Holidays and should the Department of Foreign Affairs issue advice saying Do Not Travel, then we will (a) try and change your holiday to a different destination or (b) offer a full refund.

We must always take our advice from the Department of Foreign Affairs and The World Health Organisation. We would highly recommend that you to check these websites on a regular basis. The DFA categorises travel advice in order of the following security status


  • Normal precautions
  • High degree of caution
  • Avoid non-essential travel
  • Do Not Travel - If the destination you are travelling to is at this security level, then you are entitled to a refund of monies paid.

 

I’m still worried, can I cancel my booking?
If your flight is still operating and you choose to cancel your holiday, then this would be subject to our cancellation policy as per our booking conditions.

Our staff are working around the clock, making sure we are always aware of any issues. It means that if we have to, we’ll act quickly and take necessary action for our customers without delay.

A good rule of thumb for car hire is to book a car that is a similar size to the one you travel to the airport in. This gives you an indication for the luggage space required. It is also worth considering that American cars tend to have large interiors but fairly small luggage space. Booking a smaller car and then upgrading locally costs more than booking the right size in advance.Easy Travelling!
Satellite Navigation ensures an improved customer experience. Sunway can pre-book SAT NAV rental for you. This option is available in most locations.Hotels
Please keep in mind that hotels located in major cities often charge overnight parking rates. This can range from $20 to $45 and must be paid locally. We advise you to double check the rates prior to parking. Very often less expensive parking alternatives are located close by. Please note if the brochure featured hotel is not available, a similar hotel will be confirmed.Carbon Off-setting
Sunway's USA Fly-Drives include the Terra Pass which means we include 100% carbon offsets for these tours. Carbon offsets fund projects that reduce CO2 emissions, effectively resulting in a carbon-neutral tour. This cost is not passed on to the customer.
