Depart Dublin Airport at 1145hrs and arrive in Keflavik airport at 1305hrs, where you will be met by our local representative in the airport before being transferred to the Blue Lagoon. Enjoy a 1.5 hours bathing time and relaxation in one of the New Wonders of the World, including towel, face mask and a drink of choice from the Blue Lagoon Bar before being transferred to your hotel in Reykjavik.
The evening is free for you to enjoy the city at your leisure or why not book an optional excursion with your guide.
Included: Blue Lagoon excursion and overnight at hotel.

After breakfast you will enjoy a day independently and at leisure in Reykjavik to explore the city on your own, book some optional excursions or take advantage of the amazing shopping that Reykjavik has to offer.
We all know that Iceland is a hot spot for nature lovers, but the same can be said for shopping!. The city is filled with fashion, books, vintage stores, flea markets, boutiques, outlets, antique shops, gourmet food, Icelandic design, outdoor clothing, souvenir- and gift shops.
Laugavegur is the main shopping street in downtown Reykjavik, along with Skolavordustigur and Hverfisgata, but the whole downtown area is filled with shops, some in the most random places. Icelanders are very creative by nature, and as a result of that you will find numerous local stores selling clothing, art and jewellery from Icelandic designers. Reykjavik has two large shopping malls where well-known brands can be found along with restaurants, cinemas and cafes.
Included: Day at leisure and overnight at hotel.

After breakfast you will enjoy a day independently or you could take a half or full day tour. Iceland is filled with unforgettable natural wonders, you’ll be amazed with the natural beauty and the possibility to see waterfalls, glaciers, volcanoes and black sandy beaches – all in the space of 1 day. Iceland has so much to offer, the problem is usually trying to narrow down your choices to fit the time you have in Iceland.
Included: Day at leisure and overnight at hotel.

After a light breakfast you will be transferred back to the airport, flight departing Keflavik at 0730hrs, arriving in Dublin at 0950hrs.

BLUE LAGOON: The Blue Lagoon is considered one of the New Wonders of the World. The geothermal water originates 2,000 metres below the surface, where freshwater and seawater combine at extreme temperatures. On its way to the surface, the water picks up silica and minerals and when it emerges the temperature is generally between 37°C and 40°C (98 - 104 °F). The blue colour comes from the silica and the way it reflects sunlight, as the water is actually white. The sun simply makes it look blue!
*This excursion would cost €185pp approx if buying locally and we have included it in the tour.

Summer season (1 April - 31 October) is great for whale watching, as the wildlife in the bay is at its highest peak! This is the time when the Minke whales are at their most abundant, along with White-beaked dolphins, Harbour porpoises and the occasional Humpback whales, giving us the chance to enjoy and understand them in their natural environment.
Winter season (1 November - 31 March) is a whole other experience and adventure compared to our summer tours. Each year continues to surprise us with the wildlife it offers. The winter low lying sun is also something not to be missed, as it casts a warm glow over the white-capped mountains surrounding the bay and to breathe in the winter's fresh and crisp air is just incredible. Our sighting success on previous tours is 91.40% however the cetacean abundance is unpredictable and varies with the food availability of our shores. The most common cetacean in the area are the Minke whales, White-beaked Dolphins and Harbour Porpoises and occasionally we see other species including the Humpback whales, Killer whales/Orcas and even Fin whales.

NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE (1,5 – 2,5 HOURS) SEASON: 01 SEPTEMBER – 15 APRIL: On the tour we will take you out into the dark blue yonder of Faxaflói bay in search for the mystical phenomenon we call the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights, leaving behind the bright city lights of the capital Reykjavík. Watching the lights constantly change in intensity, colour and movement in the vast starry space with the gentle lull of the ocean beneath is a thrilling, unique experience. Northern lights are best displayed under dark, clear skies. Our open top viewing decks provide the perfect platform for witnessing the dazzling spectacle while our heated indoor lounge is a great place to take a break and warm up in between sightings.
