Costa Dorada it’s one of the most popular regions for visitors from Europe and other parts of the world. There are plenty of things to do and see with the numerous beaches being the main attraction, of course.

Splendid Beaches
The beaches are the first and most popular places people head to when they arrive in the Costa Dorada area. Mile upon mile of golden sands, backed by pine trees and picturesque coves are simply magnetic.

Salou Fountains
Salou ornamental fountains are one of the main attractions of the town. A must-see if you like water shows.

The Illuminated Fountain it offers a spectacle of water features, light and colors. Takes place every night, an astonishing show with unending combination of colours and shapes.

Cybernetic Fountain offers a game show, synchronized choreography and compositions of water, light and music from well-known pieces of classical music, pop and rock. Water jets emerge to offer whimsical to the beat of music forms.

Labyrinth Fountain offers a game of water jets that delights the whole family and especially of smaller and youth. You can try and complete the maze trying to get in and out of it without getting wet, although it is a bit difficult.

The Mountains of Montserrat
The mountains are also known to be a special, mystical place for the local Catalan people. Its home to the statue of the Virgin Mary of Montserrat, who’s known to perform numerous miracles, attracting millions of pilgrims all over the world.  Montserrat also attracts hikers and rock climbers who seek adventure. The numerous hiking paths and sky-high mountains offer magnificent views. But really, it's for any tourist or local. The lofty, bulbous formations make you gaze and wonder how nature was able to create such peculiar beauty.

It provides a scene of bright colours, lively market traders and general hustle and bustle. It is a good place to go to pick up anything from clothes to fresh fruit and vegetables sold by the local farmers.

Tarragona, 15 minutes from La Pineda, was the capital of Roman Spain, and the whole place is littered with reminders of days gone by. The site is dominated by a huge seafront amphitheatre and is considered to be Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Tarragona is a city that invites you to stay, to find out about its history in some depth and to contemplate its monuments, but above all to enjoy the good life, the Mediterranean sunshine, the cuisine and the traditional festivities that are scattered throughout the year.

The Cathedral of Tarragona stands on the site of the 1st century Roman temple dedicated to Jupiter. It is a pleasing mix of Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque styles with a large beautiful stained glass rose window. It is large, impressive and consists of several chapels, three naves and a huge octagonal dome.  It is the highlight of any visit to the city of Tarragona.

Barcelona is one of the most visited cities in Europe Barcelona is as the capital of Modernism and you can find many monuments built and designed by famous Antoni Gaudi. Aqualeon- Aquapark
Aqualeon- Aquapark is open air safari with more than six hundred animals roaming free. Incredible shows with marine animals, intelligent birds, birds of prey and reptiles. The water park has spectacular slides, a giant-wave pool, a long tube, straight slides, river rapids, twist-twist and children's pool. Other facilities include a mini zoo, nature school, beach volleyball, a la carte and self service restaurants, cafés and souvenir shops.

Activities for all the Family

Apart from relaxing under the sun, there is a lot more to do at the beach such as paddle surfing, kayaking, water skiing and even windsurfing. A range of activities for all the family such as cycling, kayaking, sailing, kite surfing, paddle surfing, parasailing or windsurfing trekking, sailing and golfing.

Water sports
Hot sunny days and clear Mediterranean waters are the ideal conditions for enjoying a range of water sports from water skiing and windsurfing to sailing and snorkelling. Head for Salou and Cambrils where you’ll find all the right equipment and maybe book a lesson or two to get you started. You can also go on a trip, on a banana boat or a regular boat. If you want to enjoy the clear water and the beautiful seabed, we can definitely recommend snorkelling in this area.

Costa Dorada is home of some of Spain (and Europe’s) finest golf courses. One right at your door at Port Aventura Golf newly opened in 2008.   Enjoy some sun, fresh air and exercise on the golf course. There are few challenging courses along the coast, including those at Reus Aigüesverds, Masia Bach and Bonmont Terres Noves, with plenty of superb views to enjoy while you wait for your turn.

The Costa Daurada is a very pleasant region for road biking. There is a whole network of cycling paths here so you can get out and enjoy the countryside without any worries. Look out for the greenways along abandoned railway tracks or head for the mountain biking centres at Amer, Quart and Castell d’Aro.  The promenade lends itself for a bike tour on a sunny day. Discover almost 20 kilometres of beautiful views and monuments!

Tourist Trains
In case you are less active, then a trip on the local touristic train that offers various sightseeing routes around the area might be perfect for you. These mini trains offer sightseeing routes in Salou and Cambrils.  On board the train you can enjoy the cool sea breeze and breath-taking views of the monument of the Sanctuary of Mare de Déu del Camí, that dates from the 18th century, as well as the medieval tower of Ermita which is also very special as it is home to the historical museum of Cambrils.

You’ll find excellent walking along the coast and especially in the Montsant Mountains, where the network of trails will take you off the beaten track and closer to nature. The numerous hiking paths and sky-high mountains offer breath-taking views. Costa Dorada has something for everyone.
