The main beach in Corralejo is an impressive 195 metres long and approximately 25 metres wide so you won’t be short of a finding place to perch for the day! White sand and calm waters but can be windy at times! There are plenty of snack bars and restaurants along the beach and many more beaches in the area besides. The horse shoe shaped main beach of Caleta da Fuste is also white sand. With its calm waters and gently shelving beach it is ideal for families. Diving, sailing, boat and submarine trips are all available from the beach here.
Water sports are extremely popular in Fuerteventura particularly surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing. There are plenty of day trips and excursions available on Fuerteventura. You can take a ferry to the neighbouring island of Lanzarote or a short boat trip can take you to the little tiny island of Los Lobos where you can really get away from it all! Catamaran trips, fishing trips, kayak and snorkel trips, island tours and the Oasis Park zoo are all very popular. Shoppers are well catered for on this duty free island with plenty of shops, boutiques and commercial centres housing electrical retailers, perfume shops, jewellers and clothing stores. There are golf courses dotted around the island. At night enjoy the friendly local bars and restaurants.
