El Cotillo is a quiet resort in the north west of the Island and has one of the best beaches of the island. It has been voted as number four in Europe by trip advisor and it truly is an aqua paradise with crystal blue waters and a beautiful lagoon. It’s a hidden gem with a quaint old harbour lined with bars and restaurants where seafood is a highlight.

If you want to do a beach stroll or go surfing, the Piedra Playa beach is 500m south of the little village and is easily accessible on foot.

El Cotillo has so far managed to avoid major construction and is an excellent place for foodies, water babes or those simply seeking relaxation and superb sea views. The pedestrian strip behind the harbour has artisan shopping opportunities, lively tapas bars and gorgeous views of the sea.
