Also the Jefferson Memorial, the magnificent white domed US Capitol, the Pentagon and the Washington Monument. The Smithsonian Institute is the pride of Washington DC and home to a fantastic collection of fifteen art galleries and museums dotted all around the city.

Spring is one of the best times to visit DC to view the National Cherry Blossom Festival. From late March is a beautiful time to visit and see the impressive 3,750 cherry blossom trees in full bloom.
