Sozopol
Bulgaria
Sozopol enjoys a fabulous location on Bulgaria's Black Sea Coast, promising visitors a warm Balkan welcome with a decidedly Mediterranean vibe. The town itself is rich in history dating as far back as 2000 years and a walk through the cobbled streets in the north of the town will be rewarded with a magical and memorable experience.
Sozopol is popular with Bulgarians as well as international visitors. It has two large, well-kept beaches (perfect for families) as well as many smaller beaches a little along the coast and of course, there's a host of water sports to avail of. Along the seafront, you'll find plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars when the afternoon sun makes the sand a little too hot.
From Sozopol, you can venture out on some great day trips. You can take in Bourgas for the city experience or a little closer (1km in fact) is St. Ivan island in the bay. Sozopol has the weather, the welcome, and lots more to bring you back year after year.
