Blanes

Costa Brava, Spain

Blanes is the gateway to the Costa Brava and is a perennial favourite amongst Catalonians and Spanish.

It has a smaller 'tourist' population in the summer and therefore feels a little more laid back than some of the buzzier resorts.

Blanes is blessed with a warm, comfortable climate and 4km of wide, sandy beaches - each of which has an EU Blue Flag. The beaches are in fact the main attraction of Blanes. They are excellently maintained with shallow water suitable for families as well as deeper water areas for more confident swimmers.
