Blanes is the gateway to the Costa Brava and is a perennial favourite amongst Catalonians and Spanish.

It has a smaller 'tourist' population in the summer and therefore feels a little more laid back than some of the buzzier resorts.

Blanes is divided into the Old and New Town, so you can sample the modern and traditional with ease.
