Kardamaina, or Kardamena, is a resort town on the Greek island of Kos. It’s known for its long, sandy beach, which is lined with bars, tavernas and nightclubs. Kardamena is a small yet lively resort. Just inland, are the hilltop ruins of the 14th-century Antimachia Castle. Nearby is Antimachia village, with a replica of a 20th-century traditional Greek house. Boats run from Kardamaina to the volcanic island of Nisyros, home to the active Stefanos Crater.
Though Kardamaina has retained its traditional charm, the nightlife in Kardamena is rich and intense with a plethora of bars and clubs. Traditional taverns and restaurants are found along the waterfront serving delicious meals from the local and European cuisine. For swimming you can access the main beach of Kardamena offering a nice variety of watersports and tourist facilities.
