Perched high above the sea sitting majestically on the side of Mount Tauro is Taormina; the most fashionable and well established resort in Sicily.

It became an important part of the ‘Grand Tour’ that European aristocrats and artists undertook many years ago. And still today thrives on tourism. You will find a mixture of designer shops, chic boutiques and souvenir shops full of the local crafts. The Greco-Roman amphitheatre has been well preserved and is now the venue for many a festival, be it music, dance or theatre. There is a daily cable car down to the beach in Taormina Mazzaro.
