We are delighted to introduce our new tour to Lisbon! Lisbon, a city that retains a timelessness and an irresistible charm

Day 1 Arrival Lisbon City
We depart Dublin on our direct scheduled flight to Lisbon. On landing, we’ll be met by our tour leader who will lead the group alongside our local tour guide. Then it’s onto the coach for the transfer to our well-located hotel in the nearby seaside resort of Estoril where we will be staying for 3 nights. Estoril is just a stone's throw away from Lisbon & is like a charming seaside gem waiting to be discovered. With its picturesque beaches, quaint streets, and vibrant atmosphere, it offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. There’ll be time to settle in and freshen up before dinner. Dinner at leisure. The evening is yours to explore and enjoy.

Day 2 Full-day guided tour of Lisbon City
After breakfast, our day begins! And it promises to be a great one! We’ll start by taking a panoramic tour on our private coach of Edward VII Park, Liberty Avenue & Rosso Square. We will then take a short walk through the Mediaeval quarter of Alfama exploring the famed narrow streets of the Alfama district, one of the oldest parts of this fascinating city. Walking through these charming streets, you will be transported back to the Moorish occupation & will feel the atmosphere of this ‘’old’’ historical town, crowned by the magnificent St.George’s Castle. We will also pass by the cathedral that dates back to the 12th century & visit Praça do Comércio, which is often colloquially called "Blackhorse Square '' due to the equestrian statue of King José I located there. This is one of the most iconic squares in Lisbon, located downtown near the Tagus River. Historically known as Terreiro do Paço, this grand square is characterised by its vast open space, surrounded by impressive yellow buildings that once housed government offices and ministries. The square opens up to the majestic Tagus River, offering stunning views and a refreshing breeze. Praça do Comércio is not only a beautiful architectural landmark but also a bustling hub of activity. It's a popular spot for locals and tourists alike to stroll, relax on the riverside benches, or enjoy a meal or drink at one of the many cafes and restaurants lining the square. Moreover, the square serves as a gateway to Lisbon's historic downtown area, with its winding cobblestone streets, charming shops, and cultural attractions waiting to be explored. From here, we will get back on our private coach and go to The Discoveries Quarter of Belém (Belém in Portuguese), a historic district in Lisbon, known for its significant role in the Age of Discoveries during the 15th and 16th centuries. This picturesque area, situated along the Tagus River, is rich in maritime history, cultural landmarks, and architectural treasures. Once at Belem, we will see two of Lisbon’s jewels & symbols, The Jerónimos Monastery & the Tower of Belem, whose origins date back to the 16th century, both are considered UNESCO World Heritage Sites, & represent the most luxurious & prestigious times of the Portuguese Monarchy. After visiting this wonderful city, we will take our private coach back to our hotel in Estoril. Dinner at leisure. The evening is yours to explore and enjoy.

Day 3 at Leisure
After breakfast, you have the whole day to enjoy Estoril, your home for the duration. Estoril is a charming coastal town nestled along the stunning Portuguese Riviera and offers a tranquil escape just a short distance from Lisbon. Renowned for its pristine beaches, elegant promenades, and glamorous ambience, Estoril has long been a favoured destination for relaxation and leisure. From Estoril, you can stroll or take a taxi into the popular town of Cascais which exudes coastal charm and Mediterranean allure. This former fishing village, now a chic resort town, beckons visitors with its picturesque beaches, charming cobblestone streets, and vibrant atmosphere. Or you may decide to take the train or hop in a taxi back into Lisbon and experience the city again at your own pace. Sintra is also a short taxi ride away and well worth a visit! Nestled amidst lush forests and rolling hills just a short journey from Lisbon & Estoril, Sintra enchants visitors with its fairy-tale charm and romantic allure. This historic town, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasts a rich tapestry of architectural treasures, from majestic palaces and enchanting castles to colourful manor houses adorned with intricate tiles. Sintra's crown jewel is perhaps the Palácio Nacional da Pena, a whimsical palace perched atop a rocky peak, its vibrant hues and eclectic design resembling something straight out of a storybook. Wander through the winding cobblestone streets of the town centre, where pastel-painted buildings house quaint shops selling local crafts and delicacies. As you see, there are options to make the most of your day!

Day 4 Morning at leisure
After breakfast, we will have the morning free which will give you time for any a last minute Sightseeing you might want to do or maybe just sit and relax enjoy the views before leaving. Then it’s time to check out, transfer to the airport and bring an end our unforgettable Portuguese odyssey!
