Itinerary
The English Lake District, a breathtaking landscape that has captured the hearts of poets, artists and nature enthusiasts for centuries. Nestled in the northwest of England, this picturesque region is a tapestry of shimmering lakes, rolling hills and charming villages, all framed by majestic mountains that paint a stunning backdrop.

Day 1
We depart on our coach from your local pick up point and travel to Dublin Port to catch the ferry to Holyhead. Our journey takes us through North Wales. We will have a refreshment stop in the Chester area. We then proceed to the Cumbria Grand Hotel where we will be based for next 4 Nights. Dinner tonight and every night is served in the hotel.

Day 2
After breakfast we head to the market town of Kendal on the River Kent. Kendal is famous for its limestone buildings and its energy giving mint cake. The Irish always receive a warm welcome as the town is twinned with Killarney, Our afternoon stop is in the town of Bowness on the shores of Lake Windermere which is the largest lake in England. Why not take a boat trip on the Lake?

Day 3
After breakfast we head for the Yorkshire Dales. Our lunch time stop is in the bustling market of Settle in the foothills of the Pennines amongst some of the most picturesque scenery in Yorkshire. Our afternoon stop is in the beautiful Cumbria town of Kirby Lonsdale on the River Lune. The centre is a mix of elegant 18th-century buildings and stone cottages huddled around cobbled courtyards and narrow alleys.

Day 4
After breakfast we travel to the ancient Cumbrian market town of Cockermouth, famous as being the birthplace of poet William Wordsworth. Much of the town is medieval origin. The tree lined Kirkgate offers examples of unspoilt classical late 17th-century housing, cobbled paving and twisty curving lanes which run down to the River Cocker.

Day 5
After breakfast we head back to Holyhead for our return ferry to Dublin. We will stop enroute for refreshments.
