Essaouira

Morocco

Essaouira is one of Morocco’s most enticing and atmospheric coastal towns. An 18th century town enclosed by battlements facing a long sandy beach. Its location and climate have made this fortified town and port a popular destination since ancient times and is renowned for its friendly and relaxed vibe.

The heart of Essaouira is its small traditional medina which now boasts the title of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The souks are noticeably less frantic than Marrakech and offer a fantastic range of craft goods. You will find some excellent fishing restaurants down in the port, many of which offer stunning views of the Atlantic.

The coast is often windy making Essaouira beach particularly popular with wind surfers. The beach offers a great variety of water sports and fishing trips from the port are also popular day trips. A number of riads offer hammans (Turkish bath) and massage. You will find a variety of cafes and restaurants in Moulay El Hassan Square. Essaouira is ideal for clients who enjoy art, culture and sports. Depending on your flight times, it is recommended that your first night or last night stay is in Agadir. Please note our representatives are only contactable by telephone in this resort.

Transfer from Agadir airport approx. 3 hours 30 minutes.
