In the southeast of Mykonos Kalo Livadi is a supreme sandy beach fronting a picturesque valley with clusters of white houses. Kalo Livadi is one of the longest beaches in Mykonos with a lovely soft gradient allowing children to play in the shallow water and confident swimmers to venture further out. It's a cosmopolitan beach with an Ibiza-like atmosphere in the summer season, thanks to its trendy beach club. But it attracts all kinds of sunbathers, including families, as there is enough sandy space for everyone, and the shallow waters are safe for children to play in. The shore has blocks of sun loungers, six deep and divided by wooden walkways. On the west side of the beach is a boat charter company with its own jetty. Tucked away on Mykonos’ east coast and far from the buzzing nightlife, this sleepy resort is all about taking it easy. From the long stretches of sand to the traditional villages, holidays in Kalo Livadi offer up a real taste of Greece’s authentic side.
