Mala Stana

Prague

In English it's 'Lesser Town' but there's nothing less about Mala Strana. This area of the city really does illustrate why Prague is considered one of the gems of Europe. There's a lot to see and experience in this hillside area of the city and it will be well worth the time you invest in it. Prague Castle with its Romanesque towers and arches impresses all who see it. The same could be said of the iconic Charles Bridge that majestically spans the Vltava. Mala Strana is also home to the fascinating but chilling KGB museum which houses artefacts from darker days.

For a change of mood visit the John Lennon Graffiti wall, a sort of shrine to the late, great artist where messages, testimonials and lyrics adorn the stonework. And of course the churches
● St Nicholas, St Vitus' Cathedral, Our Lady Victorious
● each a wonder of architecture and craft. For some quiet reflection take a walk on Petrin Hill before visiting The Alchemist Museum and The Franz Kafka Museum to delve deeper into the history and culture of the city.

Transfer from Prague airport approx. 25 mins.
