Cruise along the dramatic Amalfi Coast, where colourful cliffside villages and breathtaking sea views await, and round out your adventure with a visit to the glamorous island of Capri, famous for its chic atmosphere, Blue Grotto, and stunning landscapes. This tour blends history, beauty, and coastal charm into one perfect Italian escape.

Itinerary


Day 1 - Travel to Sorrento
Depart Dublin airport today on our direct flight to Naples. Upon arrival, we will be met by our Sunway tour leader and transfer to our hotel in Sant ’Agnello. This charming, family-run 4-star hotel is known for its warm hospitality and welcoming atmosphere.

Day 2 - Sorrento Walking Tour
After breakfast today we embark on a guided walking tour of Sorrento. It is a labyrinth of cobbled streets filled with limoncello stands, gelato shops, and lively street vendors. With a local guide, we’ll discover its highlights, including the greenery-draped 14th-century monastery, Chiostro di San Francesco. From Sorrento Park, enjoy sweeping views across the Bay of Naples with Mount Vesuvius rising in the distance. After the morning’s sightseeing, the afternoon is free to explore at your own pace—or simply relax and soak up the charm of this beautiful town.

Day 3 - Visit to Pompeii
This morning, we visit Pompeii, the Roman town frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. On a guided tour, discover its ancient streets, houses, and everyday objects that offer a fascinating glimpse into Roman life. Afterwards, enjoy a wine tasting and light lunch at a vineyard on the volcano’s fertile slopes, sampling the famous Lacrima Christi wine.

Day 4 - Full day trip to the Amalfi Coast & Positano
Today’s guided excursion takes us along the stunning Amalfi Coast. From Sorrento’s port, we’ll travel by boat past pastel-coloured villages clinging to the cliffs above the turquoise Mediterranean. Enjoy a stop in beautiful Positano before continuing to the charming maritime town of Amalfi, with free time to explore before returning by boat to Sorrento.”

Day 5 - Day at Leisure
Today is free for you to enjoy at your own pace—wander through Sant ‘Agnello or make your way into the charming town of Sorrento. Alternatively, you may wish to join our optional excursion to the awe-inspiring Mount Vesuvius, where you’ll uncover the fascinating history and geology of this iconic volcano.”

Day 6 - Island of Capri
After breakfast, we transfer by coach to Sorrento port, we set off by hydrofoil to the enchanting island of Capri, famed for its beauty and crystal-clear waters. With a local guide, we’ll stroll through Capri town and visit the Augustus Gardens, where spectacular views await. The afternoon is free to enjoy a leisurely lunch, wander at your own pace, or take an optional trip to the famous Blue Grotto before returning to our hotel.

Day 7 - Day at Leisure
Why not spend your last day at leisure in Sorrento—whether browsing the boutiques, enjoying a coffee in the piazza, or relaxing by the sea on one of the bathing platforms.

In the evening, we’ll gather for a traditional farewell dinner at a local restaurant, where stunning sea views provide the perfect backdrop to Sorrento’s famous sunset.”

Day 8 - Fly home
After breakfast we check out of our hotel and transfer to Naples airport for our return flight to Dublin.
Please note that this is our planned itinerary but sometimes due to circumstances outside our control we may have to alter it slightly.

Please note that this holiday involves a good level of walking, including exploring the ancient ruins of Pompeii with uneven ground, strolling along coastal hilly towns, and visiting Mt. Vesuvius where paths are steep and uneven. Many sites also involve steps and cobbled streets. As such, this tour is not suitable for individuals with walking difficulties or limited mobility.
