Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Updated 31 August 2020

While the government travel advice remains as avoid non-essential travel and even though some destinations are included in the Green List of destinations, we are working with all our customers to help them with their holiday plans, so please be patient we will be in contact with you.

The safety and wellbeing of our customers will always remain our top priority.

The Green list – things to know

  • Destinations will be updated by the Government at any time
  • Countries can come off the green list if they do not meet the criteria set out by government
  • People returning from a Green List country, do not have to self-quarantine, however they are asked to restrict their movements
  • If you book a holiday to a green list destination and should it come off the green list while you are there or before you are due to travel – we will contact you and offer assistance
  • Please refer to the following link for an up to date list of countries included in the Green List

San Diego

San Diego

The second largest city in California with an almost perfect climate and relaxed lifestyle, San Diego is modern California at its very best. A buzzing metropolis offering great beaches, a picturesque harbour, fantastic entertainment, superb shopping and lively nightlife. Many of the cities key attractions are within a short distance of the bay-front area. San Diego is an easy city to get around with an excellent transport network. Sit back and take in the sights from a boat tour around the bay (including whale watching season permitting), or perhaps a bus tour taking in the cities major highlights as well the resorts of La Jolla and Coronado.

There is lots of family fun to be had at Seaworld, Legoland, perhaps a day out at the world famous San Diego Zoo to view their amazing collection of animals including several endangered species, most notably the giant pandas. Maybe a picnic on the beach at Mission Bay or some water sports fun and frolics in Mission Bay Park. If shopping is your thing you’ll be spoilt for choice with the cities malls, megastores, outlets and unique shops. For the history buffs a visit to the USS Midway Museum is a must. Balboa Park is the largest urban cultural park in the USA and home to 15 museums including science, history, automobile, performing arts venues and art galleries also. All set amongst 500 hectares of landscaped gardens this park is a favourite amongst locals and holidaymakers alike.

Watch the surfers take on the waves on La Jolla Beach, an idyllic up market beach resort with championship golf courses and access to the stunning Torrey Pines Nature Reserve. Across the bridge from downtown is the gorgeous island of Coronado, small town charm, stunning beaches and a lovely beach front boardwalk amongst its attractions. To round off your day sightseeing or relaxing on the beach there are plenty of excellent restaurants, trendy bars and nightclubs to be found in the thriving Gaslamp district. Little Italy is also great for nightlife too.
