Craving a paradise escape in a beautiful corner of Cyprus? The stunning Villa Alexia immediately comes to mind. It's the sort of place where your coffee goes cold as you stare across the rural landscape, mesmerised by the view. Located in the verdant Cypriot countryside, you're surrounded by green rolling hills, lush woodlands, and olive groves for miles and miles. You'll find it hard to ever leave the patio terrace, which offers a front row seat over the endless scenic panoramas. Nothing spells holiday like sunbathing on a lounger lined against the swimming pool so you can instantly relax after an afternoon dip. If dinner with a view is on your mind, head to the wicker alfresco table and chairs with a few cocktails under the sunshine.
Villa Alexia has its feet planted in tradition. Built to blend with the typical age-old architecture of the island, it's overflowing with Cypriot charm. The interiors mirror its traditional character with wooden furnishings, delicate ornaments, and beautiful antiques. In the living room, a slate brick fireplace is the central feature, encircled by plush sofas and a charming coffee table. Our favourite feature is the dining nook, with the table centred within a bay window so you can soak up the sublime countryside views as you eat. The kitchen is delightful, built in a country-chic design with pine cabinets and a sociable breakfast bar attached. The traditional allure is prominent in the three bedrooms, with two doubles and one twin bedroom as you head upstairs. There's even a roof terrace made for quiet mornings spent sipping coffee and admiring the luscious countryside backdrop.
A break to Villa Alexia is made extra special thanks to the perfect resort location. Just a short drive away is Latchi, filled with first-class restaurants and lively bars nearby for evenings sampling delicious dishes and trying some traditional wines and beers. For a slice of culture, visit the authentic village of Peyia, a short drive away, where local tavernas serving up traditional mezes line the picturesque streets. Further afield is the bustling city of Paphos, with a vibrant nightlife scene mixed in with fascinating historic sites. With loud and lively bars, small family-run restaurants, and delectable international eateries, an evening here will be sure to impress.
