Villa Portokalia Platanias is located on the western side of Crete, with close links to the main town, Chania. This ancient town with its cobbled streets, and harbour front lined with bars and restaurants is a popular choice for those looking to explore this side of the island. If you look closely, you may even spot one of the regular sea turtles that bob about in the marina. This ancient port was the hub of the trading scene thousands of years ago, and today still retains its historic charm.

To access the villa there is a path which is 200cm wide alongside 3 steps. The front door has a width of 96cm, whilst the door to the terrace is 200cm wide. There is one step down from the terrace to the pool area, where the pool itself has step access. The terrace is a mixture of tiles and lawn. Inside, there are 3 steps down to the ground floor bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom has a door width of 80cm, whilst the door into the bathroom is only 64cm wide. The door into the kitchen/lounge is 79cm wide. There are 13 steps to the first floor, where the double bedroom door is 74cm wide, and the shower room door is 64cm wide.
