Sanur is a relaxed beach resort on Bali's south-east coast, around 20 minutes from Bali International Airport. Once a traditional fishing village, Sanur was one of Bali's first resort areas and still retains much of its local charm and character.

Its calm, shallow waters and reef-protected beach make Sanur particularly popular with families, while snorkelling, diving and a range of water sports are available along the coast. The long beachfront is ideal for leisurely walks and cycling, with a scenic paved path stretching for around 5km.

Away from the beach, you'll find plenty of restaurants, cafés, bars and shops, particularly around Jalan Danau Tamblingan. Explore the local night markets for bargains or simply enjoy Sanur's laid-back atmosphere. Quieter than Kuta and Nusa Dua, Sanur is a great choice for a relaxing Bali holiday with a more traditional feel.
