After your hearty breakfast we will take a short transfer to our snow fun park. We'll kick off the day with an exciting snowmobile ride, gliding across sparkling white landscapes as the crisp air rushes past. There will be mini snowmobiles for children, kick sledges, a toboggan run where you'll have loads of fun racing down the hills and enjoying all the winter thrills of magical Lapland. With every turn and slide, this snowy escape promises excitement, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

In the afternoon, we'll return to the hotel, where a comforting hot lunch awaits—an ideal chance to warm up, unwind, and relive the morning's fun.

The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as a family. Whether you're playing in the snow, exploring the surroundings, or trying a bit of skiing, Lapland offers endless ways to create beautiful memories.

As evening settles in, gather for a delicious buffet dinner at the hotel—a cozy, heartwarming end to your very first day in this enchanting winter paradise.

After breakfast, you will be met by our guides at your hotel. We will take a coach to the surrounding wilderness and begin our wintry adventure, where you will get to enjoy the following activities on the day.

Husky ride

We will visit a husky farm, where you will learn about the life of the husky dog. We will get to enjoy a short (800m) but speedy ride in sledges pulled by these arctic huskies. In the warmth of the chamber you can enjoy a hot drink and biscuits.

Reindeer ride

You will visit a reindeer farm, where you will experience the magical ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle in a kota-teepee. You will also get to enjoy the fun of a short (400m) reindeer ride. Upon completion of your reindeer driving, your guide will issue you with a special reindeer licence.

Lunch

During the day we will take a break from the activities and 'recharge our batteries' by enjoying a nice hot lunch in a cosy restaurant.

Joulukka

"Listen carefully as you may hear some footsteps, could it be an Elf?" Later in the day we will make our way to Joulukka, a unique place in the middle of the deep forest, where the magic of Christmas comes alive. Here we will visit the Elf school & Santa's Command Centre.

Tobogganing

We will enjoy the thrills of speedy tobogganing at Joulukka.

Elf school

Here you will discover how Elves spend their days busily getting ready for Christmas. You will have a chance to decorate your own tasty gingerbread with the help of an Elf.

The sky hotel is located on the outskirts of Rovaniemi town, set amongst the beauty of nature. Littered with snow filled trees and unspoilt woodland on the top of Ounasvaara Hill and Ski resort.
Families love staying at the Sky hotel as the idyllic setting is perfect for everyone to enjoy traditional outdoor activities with a backdrop of stunning nature. You can bor-row some toboggans from the reception of the hotel or build snowmen with your family and friends.
The hotel has an open fire in the reception area which is really cosy and welcoming and just what you need after a few hours in the snow. The bar offers some hot and cold snacks and a full bar service.
Floor to ceiling windows in the restaurant allow you take in the panoramic views that surround the hotel.
Enjoy some time on the roof terrace with fabulous views overlooking the River Val-ley and if you are lucky on a clear night possibly the northern lights too.

Renovated in December 2019 rooms at Sky Hotel are very elegant and offer un-spoilt views of the snow-covered landscape.
All rooms are equipped with a flat screen TV, a safe deposit box, pampering products, Hairdryer, Kettle and a selection of pillows and memory foam mattresses.

Northern comfort Sleep 2-3 guests with a roll away bed and offer Double or Twin beds.
Mystique De Luxe sleep 2-3 guests with a roll away bed & offer a sauna, minibar and Double or Twin beds.
Arctic Junior Suite sleep 4 guests with a double bed, one extra bed (sofa bed) for child and possibility for the extra bed for adult and offers bathrobes, slippers a Sauna and minibar.
Lapland Suite sleep up to 5 people with two bedrooms. One with a double bed and one with twin beds, in the living room a sofa bed for 2 children or 1 adult. This room type also offers bathrobe, slippers a sauna and minibar.

The hotel is located at the top of the Ounasvaara Hill, only 5 minutes drive from the centre of Rovaniemi and approx. 20 minutes from the airport.
The city centre can be easily reached by the local bus service or by taxi. A taxi will cost approx. €15 each way, or the local bus stop is 500 meters from the hotel.
