Lefkimi is one of the biggest villages on Corfu Island. This village has not been developed for tourism and keeps its old structure and traditions. Lefkimi is divided by a small river into two parts. This beautiful area is called Potami which literally means river.
On one side of the river, there are cafes and shops. The town is bustling and fun. There are striking contrasts between traditional and modern life. Sometimes it seems as if time has stood still here. Many older people still wear traditional costumes. Lefkimi is not on the sea and hasn't a proper beach. The nearest beaches are Molou bay, just 2 km away. This is an ideal for the independent traveller.
Transfer time from Corfu airport is approx. 55 minutes.
