Lake Garda

Situated on the east of the lake which shares its name, Garda is a chocolate box village on the beautiful Riviera degli Uliva between Bordalino and Torri del Benaco. This ancient town beloved by both Italian and visitors from further afield retains its medieval atmosphere in its cobblestoned, pedestrianised centre. Garda is overlooked by La Rocca, a promontory that was used as a fortress in more turbulent times. It's a testing walk up but the views are totally worth it.

To the north of the town is the captivating Punta San Vigilio, a small peninsula that is one of the most beautiful places in the whole of Lake Garda
● and that's really saying something. The tree lined waterfront promenade is the perfect place to sip an espresso, enjoy a gelato or begin a peaceful walk to Bardalino. Verona is only 32 km away so a trip to see Juliet's balcony could certainly fit into your schedule. Gardaland and Movieland theme parks are nearby too if adrenaline is the order of the day. All in all, Garda is truly a diamond in a land of gems.

Transfer time from Verona Airport is about 35 minutes.
