Eventhough it has been developed as a tourist resort, Estoril still manages to retain its traditional charm.

Beaches on the Estoril coast face south in a continuous line from the Tagus estuary and are known for their calm waters and fine sand. The beaches are linked by a walkway that is dotted with snack bars, restaurants and cafes along the way. A pleasant beachfront promenade links Estoril to the wonderful Cascais and makes for a great afternoon stroll. Sit on the boardwalk overlooking the beach or take a stroll in the park. On both sides of the park there are plenty of stylish shops to browse in.
