The town is divided into 2 parts, the ancient Medina (historical city) and the new city. The medina is enclosed by 12th century ramparts and you will find all sorts of goods on sale here. Djemma El Fna is the main square within the medina and a hub of activity be it day or night. The highlight of any Marrakech night! Musicians, dancers and street performers pack the square on a nightly basis.
