Via Veneto Area

Via Veneto Area

Rome, Italy

One of the most famous and elegant streets in Rome, the Via Veneto is perhaps most well known as the location for Fellini's 1960 movie 'La Dolce Vita.' And on this very exclusive strip, you'll find plenty of the sweet life. Here you can see Bernini's Fontana delle Api, one of the cultural landmarks of the city. Then take a stroll to Piazza Barberini for coffee or lunch or simply to sit and watch the world go by. How about visiting the Palazzo Barberini to gaze upon many wonders of Renaissance art?

For a slightly darker turn visit La Cripta dei Cappuccini at number 27, an underground crypt holding the skulls of over 3000 Capuchin monks and two skeletons complete with period clothing. Just a little further away is the Villa Borghese, a beautiful 150 acre park that includes museums, a theatre, and a cinema.

Transfer from Rome airport approx. 50 mins.
