Cannigione

Sardinia Olbia

Cannigione is a small town, during the winter season it occupies approximately 800 inhabitants, but, in the summer, Cannigione turns into a small `metropolis' made up of tourists coming from every part of the world. Cannigione is about 5 km away from Arzachena in the north-east of Sardinia and located directly on the sea. Founded in the 19th century as a fishing village, nowadays it has become a popular sea resort of the region thanks also to its vicinity to the Costa Smeralda. It is also very popular with those who like scuba diving and snorkelling. In fact, it has become one of Sardinia's diving centres par excellence, the banks of seagrass in various diving areas should not be missed, particularly at the Scoglio di Mortoriotto.

The wonderful atmosphere is created by the splendid sea of Sardinia, the numerous beaches along the gulf, the cycle footstep along the coastal road from Cannigione until La Conia, the delicious food, the good wines and the local warm people.

Transfer time from Olbia Airport approx.35 mins.
