Nestled on the southern coast of Tenerife is the resort of Golf Del Sur which as the name suggests is a haven for golfers! The year round warm weather makes for ideal golfing conditions. While this resort is a top choice for golfers it does offer plenty more besides, including restaurants, nightlife and entertainment.
The landscape here is lush and green, dominated by greens and fairways, palm trees and ravines and the indigenous plants of the island. A 27-hole golf course is the top draw for the golfers; it dominates the scenery with its variety of plants and cacti. It is known as a championship course and has some difficult holes. Best put in a bit of practice on the driving ranges first!
There is a beautiful coastal walk running the length of the shoreline. It starts in Amarilla Golf where there is a lovely little marina and runs all the way through Golf Del Sur. It takes in the small town of San Blas which has its own commercial centre full of restaurants, bars and shops. If you fancy some live music this centre is a good choice. There is also a small beach in San Blas. The village of Los Abrigos has a slightly larger beach.
Golf Del Sur is a family friendly resort with a good selection of bars and restaurants dotted around. You will find restaurants serving both international cuisine and the local specialities.
