Los Cristianos is located just 2 kilometres south of its busy neighbour Playa De Las Americas. Los Cristianos offers a slightly more laidback destination although it is still bursting with life and offers plenty of facilities and amenities for the holiday maker. Once a small fishing village but now one of the most popular and busy resorts on the island.
Set in a sheltered bay, the hub of activity is generally in the pedestrian area around the beach. Rest up in one of the cafes enjoying a cool drink and watch the world go by. Shops, cafes, bars and restaurants adorn the surrounding streets. You can choose from local specialities or international cuisine. You will also find some familiar fast food outlets! There are shops a-plenty, especially in the old town centre, should you want to take advantage of the island’s duty free status.
The main beach is large with golden sand and the most popular beach in the resort. The next beach along, Playa de las Vistas has golden sand also but usually a little quieter. There is a variety of water sports on offer here, from windsurfing to the more sedate pedaloe!
Aquland water park is also nearby and makes for a great day out for kids for all ages, even the grown up ones! Whale and dolphin watching trips are very popular or perhaps take a fishing trip or glass bottom boat ride to see the marine life. Los Cristianos has its own fair share of nightlife but should you want to up the ante Playa De Las Americas with all of its discos and bars is only a short distance away.
