Bodrum

Turkey, Bodrum

Bodrum is a town that anchors a peninsula on the southwest coast of Turkey, about an hour by air from Istanbul.

Bodrum is Turkey's Turquoise Coast at its most vibrant. The marina is full of smart boats ready for Mediterranean day trips. There are lots of tours on offer during the summer months, ranging from a couple of hours to multi-day yacht trips down the coast. Many resorts also offer kayaking, fishing, and jet-skiing as well.

There is also a handful of ancient attractions for sightseeing; The Castle of St Peter, The Mausoleum of Mausolus that was built in 376BC and the Museum of Underwater Archelogy which includes a 16-meter ship that sunk in AD 1025. Bodrum also has a town filled with photogenic, old, whitewashed houses – beautiful to look at and to photograph. The vine-draped, whitewashed, and stone-cut cottages are postcard pretty and Instagram perfect.

The shops, bars and cafes are vibrant and fun. The street markets offer fine leather work and kaftans, hard-to-find spices and piles of dried fruit. Even in October, you’ll see piles of peaches, melons, cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes.

Bodrum buzzes with energy as tourists come from all over the world to soak up Bodrum's charm.

Transfer time from Bodrum International Airport is about 40 minutes.
