Dominican Republic

Dominican Republic

Set right in the centre of the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on the North and the Caribbean Sea to the South. Boasting over 800 miles of some of the most beautiful coastline in the Caribbean. Sprawling luxurious hotel resorts and boutique hotels are close to the finest beaches ensuring a true Caribbean experience. A paradise island that offers more than a laid back sun drenched holiday, it offers beautiful beaches, rivers, waterfalls, tropical rainforests and is home to some of the warmest-hearted people of the Caribbean.

Our featured resort of Punta Cana is one of the most popular regions in the Dominican Republic. It is a natural paradise with miles of unspoilt white sandy beaches surrounded by dense palm groves on the easternmost coast of The Dominican Republic. Most of the hotels stretch along the glorious beaches of Bavaro. The beaches are perfect for sun filled lazy days, it is impossible not to relax here!

Should you tire of sun-bathing the area is great for snorkelling, diving, water sports, boat trips or perhaps take a stroll around one of the ecological parks. Venture into the interior to see a different side to the island, lush green forested areas and mountains. A trip to the island’s lively and colourful capital Santa Domingo is a great way to spend a few hours. Golf is a very popular pastime here. Amble your way leisurely around the course and finish off with a nice sun-downer!

The majority of the hotels are on an all-inclusive basis so chances are the majority of your holiday eating and drinking will be done on the grounds of your accommodation. Most have a variety of restaurants to tempt you serving both local specialities and international cuisine. Evening entertainment is often put on by the hotels also. Time to soak up all that Caribbean atmosphere and enjoy their laid back way of life; a perfect destination year round to recharge those batteries!
