Aqaba

1/11

Aqaba

Aqaba is Jordan's popular Red Sea resort, located in the south of the country and offering a relaxing mix of golden beaches, warm sunshine and traditional Jordanian hospitality. It's a great choice for Irish holidaymakers looking for something a little different from the usual Mediterranean beach holiday.

The clear waters of the Red Sea are ideal for swimming, snorkelling, diving and a range of water sports, with colourful marine life and coral reefs to discover. Away from the beach, Aqaba's historic sites, local restaurants, cafés and markets offer a taste of authentic Jordanian life.

Aqaba also makes a great base for exploring some of Jordan's most famous attractions, including Petra and the spectacular Wadi Rum desert. With plenty of sunshine, a relaxed atmosphere and fascinating culture, Aqaba holidays combine beach relaxation with adventure and sightseeing.
