DAY 1 IRELAND - HANOI
Departure from Ireland with connecting overnight flights to Hanoi.
DAY 2 HANOI
On arrival in Hanoi you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel for overnight. (BB)
DAY 3 HANOI
Today you will spend the day sightseeing in Hanoi visiting the One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Ho Chi Minh's split house, visit to the old quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the Rising Sun Bridge. You will also see a Water Puppet Show a fantastic art form originating in northern Vietnam. Overnight at hotel. (BB)
DAY 4 HALONG BAY
Travel to Halong Bay where you will board an exquisite sampan. This traditional-style boat is lavishly furnished with private cabins, sun deck and a dinning room. Sea kayaks are available on board so you can take to the sea and swim in secluded bays. Overnight on board. (BB L D). Note: The cruise itinerary is subject to change upon the weather’s condition.
DAY 5 HALONG BAY - HANOI - HUE
Start the day watching the sunrise from the sundeck with a warming coffee. After a late breakfast, disembark at approximately 11am for your return transfer to Hanoi arriving approximately 3pm. Transfer directly to the airport for your flight to Hue. Overnight at hotel. (BB)
DAY 6 HOI AN
Today you will cruise along the Perfume River to visit the Heavenly Lady Pagoda, the Old Imperial City - modelled after the Forbidden City in Peking and one of the tombs of Nguyen Emperior Minh Mang or Tu Duc. Continue south by road to Hoi An, the scenery en route is beautiful as you travel the coastline of the South China Sea via the spectacular Hai Van Pass. Overnight at hotel in Hoi An. (BB)
DAY 7 HOI AN
After breakfast you will spend a full day sightseeing in Hoi An, taking a walking tour around the town and visiting its colourful markets, you will also enjoy a boat trip on the Thu Bon River. Overnight at hotel in Hoi An. (BB)
DAY 8 HO CHI MINH CITY
Morning transfer to the airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city that was once the former capital of South Vietnam with its street markets, sidewalk cafes and sleek new bars, combined with 300 years of timeless traditions and the beauty of an ancient culture. Overnight at hotel. (BB)
DAY 9 HO CHI MINH CITY
After breakfast you will take an excursion from Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho with a boat trip to the Mekong River Islands including a brief sampan ride throught the tiny waterways that thread the islands. Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. (BB)
DAY 10 HO CHI MINH CITY
Morning excursion to Chu Chi tunnels an important base during the American War. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel. (BB)
DAY 11 HO CHI MINH CITY - IRELAND
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for onward / return flights back to Ireland or by road onto Phan Thiet (additional charge) for a beach extension option. End of Tour.
