Puerto Pollensa lies to the north of the island and is favoured year after year by European and Spanish tourists for very good reason.
It began as a small fishing port and developed its tourism slowly over the years. Yet it still retains that small village atmosphere, thanks in no small part to the prohibitive building regulations which have saved the seafront from becoming an apartment block eyesore. There are two beaches to avail of. Pollensa beach is a 2km white sand strip with shallow clear waters
● perfect for families and various water sports. The other, Voramar is just as beautiful but a good deal smaller.
Puerto Pollensa is also well known for its cycling and hiking routes with the stunning Serra de Tramuntana mountains providing a breathtaking backdrop to the port. There are several different trails appealing to all. You can also amble at your leisure along the famous Pine Walk which gives charming views of the bay.
Nightime in Puerto Pollensa is not the place to be if you're looking for foam parties! The atmosphere is relaxed and chilled out. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from as well as many different cuisines. If you are looking for a little more energetic fun there are a few Irish and British pubs near the square.
Transfer from Palma airport approx. 50 mins.
