Situated on the east of the island, Kalafatis is only 13km from the airport and 12km from Mykonos town. It is not as developed as other areas of the island and so retains a quiet and relaxed atmosphere.

The beach is sandy and unspoilt with plenty to keep the watersports enthusiast happy. Windsurfing, wakeboarding, jet skiing, tube riding are all available as well as scuba diving and snorkelling.

In the village and along the beach you'll find fine dining alongside traditional tavernas and pizzerias. There are a few shops and mini-marts but Kalafatis is definitely for the traveller looking for tranquility, yet with Mykonos town being served by a regular bus service, it's easy to get to the buzz pretty quickly.
