Itinerary
Sunway is proud to announce our newest escorted tour to the wonderful city of Warsaw.

This magical city captivates visitors with its rich blend of history and modernity, offering a truly compelling experience. With its meticulously reconstructed Old Town, vibrant cultural scene, and the poignant reminders of its resilient spirit displayed in museums and memorials a visit to Warsaw will live long in the memory.

Day 1.
Depart Dublin airport for your flight to Warsaw. Flight time is approximately 2hrs 45 mins. On arrival, you will be met by your guide and transferred by coach to your hotel, the Gromada Centrum Hotel in the city centre. After check-in feel free to familiarise yourself with this buzzy locality which is within easy walking distance of the old town.

Day 2.
After breakfast, it’s time for a guided tour of the Old Town. Warsaw’s Old Town is a journey through history, where cobblestone streets wind through medieval and Renaissance architecture. The lively Market Square, surrounded by colourful townhouses, invites you to savour local cuisine while Sigismund’s Column at Castle Square and St. John’s Arch Cathedral are iconic landmarks that reflect Warsaw’s rich heritage. Explore the Barbican, walk the city walls, and discover Chopin’s Bench for unique perspectives. The Warsaw Mermaid, symbolising the city, welcomes you at the entrance. Amidst charming cafes and artisanal shops, Old Town offers a perfect blend of history and contemporary life. Included in your Old Town tour is a visit to the Royal Castle Museum. The castle was completely rebuilt after its destruction by the Germans in WW2. It was completed in 1974 and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the tour is finished you’re free to explore even more of this fascinating city.

Day 3.
After breakfast, it’s on to Lazienki Park! The Park never fails to enchant tourists with its regal beauty and serene ambience. On your guided tour you’ll visit the idyllic Royal Baths Palace, stroll along picturesque pathways and marvel at iconic monuments like the Chopin Statue. The tranquil lake and lush greenery make Lazienki Park is a perfect retreat, blending history and nature seamlessly. A charming addition to today’s adventure is a visit to Wilanow Palace and Park. The palace is a stunning example of 17 th century Baroque architecture with landscaped English gardens. Inside are collections of Polish art and portraiture as well as original furniture and décor. After the tour, you’re once again free to wander and perhaps find your own memorable jewels or perhaps retrace the steps of the tour at your own pace.

Day 4.
On your last full day, you’ll be visiting the former Jewish Ghetto and Cemetery as well as the world-famous Polin Museum of Jewish History. The Jewish Ghetto and Cemetery in Warsaw bear witness to the city’s complex history. The Ghetto, established by the Nazis during World War II, was a site of immense suffering and resistance. Today, it is marked by memorials such as the Ghetto Heroes Monument. The Okopowa Street Jewish Cemetery, one of Europe’s largest Jewish cemeteries, stands as a solemn testament to the rich Jewish heritage in Warsaw, with centuries-old gravestones chronicling the community’s history. Both places serve as powerful reminders of resilience, loss, and the enduring legacy of Warsaw’s Jewish population. The POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw is a modern cultural institution dedicated to recounting the thousand-year history of Polish Jews. The museum’s contemporary architecture houses engaging exhibits, interactive displays, and multimedia installations that provide a comprehensive and immersive experience. It serves as a vital hub for preserving and sharing the rich tapestry of Polish-Jewish heritage, offering visitors insight into the cultural, religious, and social aspects of this historical journey. On this, your last day, take time after your tour to soak in the charm of this vibrant and fascinating city one more time. Until the next time!

Day 5.
With a few precious hours on your hands after breakfast, you will have the choice between immersing yourself in the historical wonders of Warsaw Old Town or indulging in some last minute souvenir shopping. Late afternoon you will be transferred by coach to the airport for your flight home. Please note that our itinerary may change due to weather, traffic conditions etc.
