Day 1 Arrival Lisbon City
We depart Dublin on our direct scheduled flight to Lisbon. On landing, we’ll be met by our tour leader who will lead the group alongside our local tour guide. Then it’s onto the coach for the transfer to our centrally located hotel. There’ll be time to settle in, freshen up and perhaps even take a leisurely stroll around the local neighbourhood to get your bearings before the adventure begins. Dinner is included at the Hotel

Day 2 Full day guided tour of Lisbon & Sintra
After breakfast, our day begins! We’ll start by exploring the famed narrow streets of the Alfama district, one of the oldest parts of this fascinating city. You can soak in the enchanting atmosphere, as life goes on much as it has done for hundreds of years. Then it’s on to the captivating town of Sintra where we’ll have some time for a quick lunch. Having taken on food and drink we will visit the Palácio Nacional de Sintra, located in the heart of the town (entrance fee payable locally). This is one of Portugal’s best-preserved royal palaces. Although the original building dates back to the 11th century, what you’ll see on the outside and inside dates from the 15th to 19th century. It really is a feast for the eyes. Having sampled the pleasures of Sintra we will make our way back to Lisbon along a stunning scenic route through the beautiful coastal town of Cascais and opulent Estoril, world renowned for its stunning gardens and glamorous casino. The evening is yours to explore and enjoy.

Day 3 at Leisure with Evening Fado Dinner
After breakfast, you have the whole day to experience the wonder of Lisbon at your own pace. This is a city like no other: vibrant hills, historic charm, Fado melodies, tiled streets, river views, cultural fusion, culinary delights, warm locals, a captivating European gem. Do NOT let this moment go to waste. One of the most popular things to do is take a Tram Ride and the most famous tram is the No. 28. It runs from Martim Moniz to Campo de Ourique and it will show you Lisbon’s historic districts, stunning architecture, narrow streets and local life. It’s definitely one of Lisbon’s iconic experiences. And of course, when you get a little peckish mid-morning you simply must sample a Pastel de Nata. This small custard tart is one of Portugal’s greatest gifts to the world! In the evening we will make our way to a local restaurant for Dinner (included) escorted by our local guide Here, as well as experiencing the excellence of Portuguese cuisine we will enjoy some traditional Fado music, the sound that epitomises Portugal. It is a music of longing and melancholy played and sung with a captivating passion that will stay with you long after you have returned home.

Day 4 Lisbon, Alentejo & Evora
Breakfast at the hotel and check out Today we leave the magic of Lisbon and make our way to the Alentejo Region of Portugal. This part of the country is famous for its cork oaks and olive groves, its stunning scenery, mouthwatering cuisine and genuinely warm welcome. On our way we will cross the Tagus River via Europe’s longest bridge, the Vasco da Gama Bridge, a mesmerising view! A quick stop then at the picturesque Cristo Rei Sanctuary to drink in the final sumptuous view of Lisbon and then it’s on to Arrabida Natural Park and Setubal where we’ll have lunch. After lunch, we will make our way to Evora where the next part of our excellent adventure will begin. Check-in is at our hotel the Vila Gale Evora. After you’ve settled in, take advantage of having the afternoon and evening free to relax and acquaint yourself with your new surroundings.

Day 5 Half day walking city tour & visit Vila Viçosa palace
After breakfast, our guide will take us on a walking tour of the City of Evora, a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. The starting point will be the Praca do Giraldo located in the heart of the city. This square is an excellent meeting point, with pavement cafés and shops. One side of the square is dominated by the church of Santo Antao and in the centre is the 16th century Renaissance style marble drinking fountain with 8 spouts representing the 8 streets that lead to the square. After our morning tour, you’re free to have lunch at your leisure. After lunch, we’ll head off to visit (entrance fee included) the Ducal Palace of Vila Viçosa. The palace was the home of the Braganza the ruling house of the kingdom of Portugal from 1640 until 1910, when King Manuel II, the last king was deposed on the 5th of October 1910 which brought in a Republican Government, This beautiful palace, known for its exquisite architecture and art, offers a glimpse into the noble history of Portugal. Having filled up on culture all day you have the evening free for dinner.

Day 6 Morning at leisure
After breakfast, we will have the morning free which will give you time to visit the macabre yet moving Chapel of Bones. It was built in the 16th century by Franciscan Monks who were perhaps already understanding that life is too short!
