Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Updated 31 August 2020

While the government travel advice remains as avoid non-essential travel and even though some destinations are included in the Green List of destinations, we are working with all our customers to help them with their holiday plans, so please be patient we will be in contact with you.

The safety and wellbeing of our customers will always remain our top priority.

The Green list – things to know

  • Destinations will be updated by the Government at any time
  • Countries can come off the green list if they do not meet the criteria set out by government
  • People returning from a Green List country, do not have to self-quarantine, however they are asked to restrict their movements
  • If you book a holiday to a green list destination and should it come off the green list while you are there or before you are due to travel – we will contact you and offer assistance
  • Please refer to the following link for an up to date list of countries included in the Green List

I am booked to travel to a destination included in the Green List, can I still go?

Government advice for countries included in the Green List is currently to avoid non essential travel, however you may still travel if wish to do so. We will be contacting all customers regardless of the destination they are travelling to and will discuss what options you have.

I am booked to travel to a destination that is not included in the Green List?

We will contact you and discuss your options as you would be travelling against government advice. Travel Insurance may not cover you, so it is essential that you check your travel insurance policy.

Why stay in crowded hotels when you can enjoy a spacious private home? Rent your own home, condo or villa and get more rooms, more choices and more amenities! Private homes offer the luxury of having your own private pool or games room within your own private garden. These extras give even large families the comforts of home in the Sunshine State of Florida.

Sunway offers two choices of holiday home stays. You can opt to stay in dedicated resort whereby on-site facilities include restaurants, bars, a golf course and spa facilities. Sunway offers the Regal Palms Resort and Reunion Resort for clients who wish to choose this option. We also offer 3 to 5 bedroom private pool homes in the Kissimee area, which is about 15-25 minutes from Walt Disney World© and other great attractions. Homes come with a fully equipped kitchen and include TV's, dishwasher/dryer, towels and linen.

Tips to keep in mind when booking a private holiday home:
• Car hire is required to ensure easy accessibility to Orlando's theme parks and attractions.
• As homes are situated in residential areas, it is likely that you will not have amenities like bars and restaurants within walking distance of your home.
• You must collect your key from the management company, with the exception of the Regal Palms, Bahama Bay Resort and Reunion Resort. Details regarding where you pick up your keys, registration forms and driving directions to your home will also be provided. Please bear in mind that it will be dark by the time you have exited the airport, collected your car and proceeded to your home.
• Pool heat charge- Please note there is an additional charge for pool heating. Please ask our Sunway agents for more details. Pool heating should be requested at least 7 days prior to travel.
• Security deposit- This is required upon registration and can range from 250 to 500 depending on your home. This is fully refundable once your home is vacated as found.
