Sun City

Sun City is South Africa’s answer to Las Vegas! More of a mini city than a theme park, it’s located in the North West Province, only a 2 hour drive from Johannesburg. With four hotels including the opulent Palace Of The Lost City and the exciting Sun City Hotel. With its entertaining extravaganza shows, dazzling casinos, cocktail bars, cinemas, restaurants, trendy boutiques and magnificent championship golf courses.

It is home to one of the biggest casinos in Africa with an impressive 38 gaming tables! There are fabulous sub-tropical gardens, sparkling swimming pools, a variety of water slides in the exciting Valley Of The Waves and a huge man-made lake which offers just about every water sport imaginable. The adrenalin junkie is bound to enjoy a go on the Sun City Zip Slide, at 280m high and 2km long it’s the world’s largest zip slide. Sun City is home to the internationally acclaimed golf courses of the Gary Player Country Club and the Lost City. Both offer a spectacular backdrop thanks to the Pilanesburg mountains, are challenging par 72’s and sure to challenge the most experienced golfer. Best not to get caught out though by the water hazard on the 13th at the Lost City, its home to rather a lot of crocodiles!

A massive benefit of Sun City holidays is its proximity to the beautiful Pilanesburg National Park. Its home to the ‘Big 5’ as well as a host of other animals and bird life. Trips can be easily arranged to this fabulous park (approx. 10 minute drive away) which will delight game viewer and nature lover alike. Its delights can be seen a variety of ways including open bush jeep vehicles, on walks supervised by qualified game rangers, or even from a hot air balloon!

Don't hesitate to contact Sunway to tailor make that holiday of a lifetime to South Africa!
