Puerto Calero’s beating heart is the 420 berth Marina and waterfront with its numerous upmarket cafes, restaurants and bars along with designer label shops. The dazzling-white yachts, speed boats and sailing dinghies contrast vividly with the cobalt sea beneath them and the equally stunning azure sky above. Sports lovers will enjoy the water sports based here including scuba diving, fishing, sailing, catamaran and submarine excursions.

There is no beach in Puerto Calero, with the nearest one being a 4km walk away (Playa Chica in Puerto del Carmen). Nightlife in Puerto Calero is centred around the restaurants and cocktail bars with international menus.

There are several hiking trails between Puerto Calero and Puerto del Carmen so, if you feel like it, you can go hiking between one port and another all along the sea cliffs. The hike is quite easy and the route is simple to follow. You can also go from one port to another by boat on the Líneas Romero water bus or, alternatively, it’s a simple five-minute car ride.
