Costa Teguise

Located on the eastern side of Lanzarote and just a short transfer from the airport, Costa Teguise is a modern purpose built resort. The resort is particularly family friendly owing to its great facilities and value for money. Costa Teguise boasts four lovely beaches with two small and two large coves. Las Cucharas is the biggest sandy beach and stretches 640m long. Los Charcos, El Jabillo and Bastian beach make up the rest. A leisurely stroll along the promenade will see you take in all of the main beaches. Las Cucharas is famous amongst the wind surfing community. You’ll often see a host of wind suffers out as far as the eye can see zipping along into the distance. Bastian beach is particularly popular with families as it is a little more protected from the wind than Las Cucharas. Although small Jabillo beach has a lovely fine sand and definitely worth a visit. The pleasant promenade is lined with palm trees, cactus gardens, cafes, shops, restaurants and bars. You will also find bicycle rental outlets where you can hire mountain and city bikes, Segway and family bicycle pedal cars so you can pedal your way around the bay if you wish! Recreational facilities include a variety of water sports (windsurfing and sailing in particular), an 18 hole golf course ideal for a spot of holiday golf or for the more adventurous, a water park! Teguise holds the largest open air market on the island every Sunday in the town square. Shopping opportunities a-plenty! The town square is also a very popular place at night time with a host of restaurants and bars on offer to tempt you. Often free musical entertainment too as local performers take to the band stand! Costa Teguise is a convenient location from which to explore the rest of the island’s attractions including the Caesar Manrique Foundation, the Jameos Del Agua, Cueva De Los Verdes and the cosmopolitan present day capital of Arrecife. The area is well served by buses and taxis so getting around within and outside of the resort is easy and affordable. A preferred family destination so not for those seeking a hectic nightlife although there is a wide choice of restaurants, bars, pizzerias, shops and activities in the resort centre including some Irish bars. Holidays in Costa Teguise are ideal for families and for those looking for relaxation and some fun along the way! Costa Teguise Transfer Transfer from Arrecife airport approx. 20 mins.
