Cala Blanca

Menorca, Balearic Islands

Cala Blanca is a small purpose built resort which sits on the west coast of Menorca and has proved very popular with families and couples since its construction. There is a very good mix of shops, bars and restaurants scattered around the resort with a pedestrianized shopping area also. Several overlook the seafront with a wider choice also available a few minutes walk away. A little mini train operates around the resort daily and into the early evening and with various stops along the way. You will find more shops, bars and restaurants in neighbouring Cala Santandria. Between the two areas there are some great little coves to relax in. If you fancy a livelier scene one night take a trip into the nearby resorts of Cala’n Focat and Cala’n Blanes.

Cala Blanca’s soft sandy beaches have beautiful clear calm waters shelving gently towards the sea. There are plenty of sunloungers and unbrellas plus restaurants, cafes and bars on hand to enjoy a refreshing drink or tasty lunch. The sea water here is very calm which suits paddlers, pedalo riders and snorkellers alike. There is a path along Cala Blana's low cliffs which is perfect for a relaxing stroll with an ice-cream! As you wander along you might even be able to make out nearby Majorca's mountains on the horizon.

The former capital of Menorca, Ciutadella, is only a fifteen minute drive away and well worth a visit to wander through its narrow cobbled streets that take you past elegant mansions onto boutique shops, churches, museums, a gothic cathedral and a bustling harbour that is home to traditional and modern bars, cafes and restaurants.

Transfer time from Mahon Airport approx. 1 hour 10 mins.
