Only 21km from Mahon airport Son Bou is a purpose built resort that has something for everybody. It is one of Menorca’s livelier resorts which has activities on offer for young, old and in between.

The magnificent 3km long beach is the longest on the island and is very popular amongst beach-strollers. There is a strong current here so care does need to be taken and attention should be paid to the beach safety flags each day. Although the beach is popular with families the sheer size of it means that you can easily find a quiet spot away from the little ones. Water sports, lifeguard, sunbed and umbrella rental is available. There are also three beach bars.

Nightlife is varied and appeals to all tastes. There is live entertainment most nights and several of the bars open late. If you want to go a little beyond the resort there is the old town of Alaior which has quite a few restaurants serving authentic Menorcan cuisine.
