Costa Blanca, Spain Holidays

One of the first package holiday destinations, Costa Blanca continues to attract holiday goers and sun-worshippers year after year. Known for its nightlife & beaches there's something for everyone on this Costa!

Water sports, theme parks and discos abound, making it a great holiday destination for families, friends and couples of all ages. Benidorm is known for being vibrant and lively, the city also has an impressive skyline and an enviable seaside, with each of the 3 major beaches holding a blue flag for over 20 years. Looking to soak up the culture too? Ramble through the cobbled streets of the Old Town, where you can catch a cosy cabaret show and enjoy tapas with a glass of vino. Whether it’s sandcastles, salsa or sunbathing, Benidorm has the full holiday package.

Benidorm's nightlife is legendary and with good reason. Spanning back decades, the city has entertained young and old alike in bars, clubs and discos. Themed bars aplenty, with Irish bars, British bars and sports bars being the main offenders but if you're looking for a hoedown, tiki bar or some 60s swing Benidorm won't disappoint. You'll also find Karaoke bars and Tribute acts of classic artists such as The Beatles and Elvis and more modern offerings like Adele. Sing and dance away into the early hours of the morning!

There's a world of entertainment waiting for you in Benidorm! Enjoy theatre nights filled with West End and Broadway classics, or rock along at Showboat or Rockefellers. Laugh till your sides are sore at comedy & stand up shows. You'll find the complete package at Benidorm Palace: dances, magic shows and comedy, you name it they have it but the main draw is their famous cabaret.

Fun, friendly and flirty, Benidorm has a vibrant gay community brimming with pride. Head to the city's favourite drag bar of Kafee Klee for a night of frivolous fun and unrivalled entertainment. Grab a pitcher of sangria in Bar 69 or party at Discoteca Penelope. There's no end to excitement when you're out in Benidorm. Make sure you visit in early September to catch Benidorm Pride!

Benidorm is full of cafés, eateries and a range of traditional and cosmopolitan restaurants. For an authentic tapas experience head to Calle Santo Domingo, nicknamed Tapas Alley. This street boasts some of the best tapas bars in Benidorm. Go on a tapas tour, try one or two bites in each spot and eat your way down the street before washing it all down with a refreshing beer. Want to learn some of Spain's culinary secrets? Take a cooking class for a truly traditional Spanish experience.

Aqualandia waterpark, a Benidorm staple, is a thrilling, refreshing day out for all the family. Take the plunge and dare the 22m vertical drop of Vertigo.

Aqua Natura water park is the city's largest waterpark, perfect for kids of all ages (with plenty for adults too!). Vast swimming pools, spiralling slides, wave pools and water chutes… and don't miss the sea lion talk!

Terra Mitica invites you to discover the history of Egypt, Greece, Iberia and Rome through its five themed lands. Brave the thrilling coasters, ride the river rapids or take a trip on the carousels. A perfect family day out away from the beach.

The Old Town Market offers a wide range of wares every Wednesday and Sunday, where you'll find leatherworks, shoes, souvenirs and much more. Benidorm Flea Market opens three days a week and has bargains aplenty from Spanish and European sellers alike. For the quintessential shopping experience, La Marina Centro Comercial houses both familiar high street stores and continental favourites.

Benidorm City Visit the old town for a taste of traditional Spain, with narrow alleyways and coddled streets. The iconic Balcon del Mediterraneo stands at the end of the Old Town, marking the spot of the old Benidorm Castle, and grants you stunning views of the coast. Climb up to La Cruz (or take a taxi) for unrivalled views of the city. Discover the city by bike, take a Segway tour, or try a thrilling quad bike adventure through the outskirts.

It's easy to keep the kids entertained in Benidorm with kids clubs, pools and beaches, but there's also a range of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Solve mysteries in the Lockdown Escape Room. Experience Virtual Reality at the Capsula D' Alegria. Travel back in time at the Medieval Challenge dinner show.

The two main beaches are the Levante and Poniente. Both face the Mediterranean Sea and boast warm, clear waters and fine sand. Lounge under the Mediterranean sun. If it's the atmosphere you're after, you'll find it in (buckets and) spades on Levante Beach, a bustling hive of activity packed with watersports and lined with cafes and restaurants. Looking for somewhere quieter? Head to Poniente. Popular with locals and families, Poniente Beach stretches for almost 6km. Even better, its network of boardwalks makes it easily accessible for wheelchair users and the mobility impaired. The perfect place to relax and unwind.

Golfers can find a couple of courses nearby to scratch the golfing itch! For a laid back day, choose the 9-hole par 3 pitch and putt Las Rejas. If you're looking for more of a challenge you'll find it at the Villaitana resort, with two 18-hole courses (par 72 & par 62).
