Laganas

Zakynthos

Situated in the south of the island, Laganas is the party destination of Zakynthos! Laganas is mainly centred around the 2km of its main street, packed with shops, minimarkets, bars & nightclubs. Bars and restaurants are open until the early hours, and in July and August, the resort is buzzing. Evenings in Laganas revolve around the dozens of bars and nightclubs that hum with activity throughout summer.

Laganas Beach is by far the island's busiest and most developed coastal area. The beach is so long that it joins the beach of Kalamaki and is full of restaurants and snack bars open from morning to night. Surprisingly, the beach is also one of the nesting grounds for endangered Loggerhead turtles and comes under the administration of the National Maritime Park of Zakynthos. Luckily there is space for all here! Boat trips are popular to see the turtles but water sports are banned here to avoid disturbing the nesting turtles.

Transfer time from Zante Airport approx. 15 mins.
