Santa Ponsa

Majorca, Balearic Islands

The ever popular resort of Santa Ponsa lies on the south west coast of Majorca. It is suited to families, couples and groups alike. Famous for its large sandy beach, abundance of shops, restaurants, bars and lively nightlife in the resort centre.

Beside the beach is a beautiful protected natural forest area which makes for a great walk and picnic spot. Santa Ponsa’s main beach is known for its fine golden sand and clear waters and is as popular for swimming as it is sun bathing. It is sheltered from the road by a promenade of pine trees. There are beach bars located directly on the beach selling refreshments and snacks and an abundance of restaurants along the main streets surrounding the beach. A wide range of water sports are available for hire. There is a smaller secondary beach approximately 15 minutes walk away. A beautiful little cove with a children’s playground just across the road from it.

There are plenty of activities and sights to enjoy in Santa Ponsa ranging from an 18 hole golf course, a variety of water sports for hire, a nature park, Jungle Parc (outdoor adventure park), shops, boutiques, local markets and there are 2 water parks nearby. The resort comes alive at night time with a host of restaurants, bars, discos and live music venues with the hub of activity being along the main strip, Ramon de Montcada.

While Santa Ponsa is known for its nightlife it is noticeably quieter than its noisier neighbours Palma Nova and Magaluf.
